This scene depicts Ferrari driver Mika Salo in the pits at the 1999 German Grand Prix. Salo was the replacement driver for Michael Schumacher, who had broken his leg at the British Grand Prix. Salo led for much of the race, but team orders were given to allow teammate Eddie Irvine, who was battling Mika Hakkinen for the World Championship, to take the lead. Salo finished in second place, one second behind the victorious Irvine. Following the race, Irvine presented Salo with the victory trophy as a gesture of his appreciation.
