Harry Gant (born 1/10/1940) was known as the driver of the Skoal Bandit #33 car in hte old NASCAR Winston Cup Series. He was nicknamed “Handsome Harry Gant” for his good looks. Over his NASCAR Sprint career of 22 years he raced in 474 races, winning 18, taking 17 poles, and finishing 208 times in the top 10. In 1984 Gant finished 2nd behind Terry Labonte which was to be Harry’s best overall finish in the Cup Standings.
