Jim Clark's Last Photo?
On April 7, 1968, arguably the world's greatest racing driver, Scotsman
Jim Clark, was killed at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany.
The race was an inconsequential F2 event entered to satisfy contractual
obligations. Clark's Lotus did not run well in practice or qualifying.
Clark was running alone in 8th place as he entered fast turn out of sight
of spectators. He left the road at high speed, became airborne and
smashed in trees, causing a fatal neck fracture. It was later believed
that a deflating tire was the cause.
This photo was taken by Stephen V. "Yogi" Behr just prior to Clark
moving onto the circuit at the beginning of the race. Clark is looking
straight into the camera, and Graham Hill is seen directly
behind him in the number 2 car. This may very well be the last photo
taken of Jim Clark.
We now for the first time offer first quality 11 x 14 color reprints
of this historic photo under license of the photographer. Price is
$99.00.

| The 1965 British Grand Prix was held at Silverstone.
A reporter for the Canadian Broadcasting Company, was in attendance
camera in hand. He captured a series of stunning photographs of all
the legendary drivers in the field. The original negatives lay untouched
for forty years, until he brought them to Freck's Auto Art, Inc.
